Obituary of Angelica Anna Beecroft

Please share a memory of Angelica to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Angie Beecroft after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents Kurt and Mary Preuss. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Clifford Graville, by her sons Kurtus (Danielle) and Spencer and by her grandchildren Ethan and Kadence, her pride and joy and the light of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Manfred (Kathy) Preuss, and her sister Erica (Vaughn) Beecroft.

Angie was born and raised in Chilliwack, BC, and she moved to Calgary in 1986, where she met Cliff. Shortly thereafter, in 1988, Kurtus was born. Then 7 years later, Angie received the greatest 40th birthday present when Spencer was born. She was a wonderful wife, an amazing mother, a great friend, and the best Oma you could ever ask for.

She was a collector of many things. If it made her giggle, she had to bring it home. She was an avid sewer/seamstress, and you could always count on her to fix any hole, rip, or tear that you brought her way. Angie and Cliff enjoyed hosting their annual Stampede party, which ran for 22 years. Family and friends would travel from near and far to attend, and countless memories were made that will be cherished forever.

In 2018, Angie and Cliff left the big city to enjoy small town living in Acme, Alberta. Angie quickly discovered the local thrift stores and antique shops, and was always adding to her never ending collection. She took to small town living very quickly and made many good friends in a short amount of time.

We believe Angie/Mom/Oma lived this quote to the fullest:

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a ride!”
