Obituary of Frank Bergen Peters

Francisco Peters, affectionately known as Frank, 55, passed away on March 13, 2021 in his home in Whitecourt, Alberta. 

Frank was born on October 17, 1965, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and was raised with five brothers and five sisters. Growing up, he could be found doing farm work or making a new friend.

At 21, he married his wife, Maria. Within their first year of marriage, they welcomed their first child. They raised their four children in Southern Alberta, where Frank worked as a farmhand and truck driver to provide for his family.

Frank was a hard-working, generous man who was skilled in metal fabrication and woodworking. He enjoyed swimming, golfing, fishing, and exploring. He loved spending time with his family, cracking jokes and eating his wife's home cooking.

Frank is survived by his wife, Maria, his children Anna and Dan Enns, Peter and Erin Peters, Frank and Rhiannon Peters, and Lena and Ian Tyler, and his four grandchildren, Saige, Rhett, Fleetwood, and Frankie June. He is also survived by his stepmother Anna, and his siblings, Maria and Henry, Johan and Neta, Katharinna and Jacob, Joacab and Anna, Abram and Lisa, Peter and Greta, Elisabeth and Jake, Aganetha and John, Cornelius and Sara, and Eva and Willy. He is preceded in passing by his parents, Francisco Peters Dyck (1943-2016) and Elisabeth Bergen Klassen (1942-1985) and his sister Elisabeth. 

The funeral service will be held at Tween Valley Church in Grassy Lake, Alberta on Saturday, March 20, at 2pm.

Due to covid, the family has requested only immediate family be able to attend the service.
There will be a gym available (30% capacity) at the same location open to the extended family and friends as the funeral service will be live-streamed on the screen and online.

After the service the immediate family has requesed their privacy and will open the doors for viewing before the burial.

The burial will be open to the public at a distance (due to covid).

Following the burial, there will be a wake for the immediate family only.
